IT WAS celebration time to for the Sevenoaks Ladies Masters O-45 team on Saturday when they won the Investec Tier 1 trophy at Lee Valley, Olympic Park. This was the third title they had lifted in four years.Julie Nicholson scored a hat-trick to help Sevenoaks to a 3-1 win against Cambridge in the final.The Sevenoaks O-45 squad is made up of players who normally play for the 3rd XI right through to the 7th XI and put their success down to the fact the majority of them have been playing together for the town hockey club for nearly 20 years.

TOMORROW is the day (18 April) Sevenoaks gets to celebrate with double Winter Olympic Champion, Lizzy Yarnold, when she embarks on a victory bus tour of the area.The tour will begin at the District Council offices in Argyle Road, Sevenoaks at 9.30am, where the public can wave Lizzy off. The bus will pass through Otford, Eynsford, Swanley and Horton Kirby before finishing in West Kingsdown where the former St Michael's School pupil spent her childhood.On the way there will be a number of stops at local schools as well as at Swanley High Street around 11am. FARNINGHAM Cricket Club is looking for new players for its Women’s Cricket Team.The team, having only been established in the last year, is keen to get off the ground and have facilities to cater for all ages and ability.
