Pupils invited to join the Sevenoaks Youth Council to make sure their voice is heard

SEVENOAKS Town Council is offering an opportunity for young people to have their say in politics.

The Sevenoaks Youth Council has 16 places on offer and applicants must be between 11 – 18 year-old and go to school in the area or live within five miles from Sevenoaks. There are also places pupils from senior schools around Sevenoaks to send their representatives to vote on matters to ensure young people from all backgrounds are represented.

Being part of the Sevenoaks Youth Council will give young people the opportunity to make Sevenoaks better for youths and connect with other young people around Kent. The role is also look on favourably when it comes to UCAS applications and CVs.

If more than 16 young people apply for Sevenoaks Youth Council before 5 October 2018, there will be an election held for the Annual General Meeting taking place 7 November 2018 at 6pm in Town Council Offices.
