Minister of Sport to visit Greatness Recreation Ground in Sevenoaks
THE Minster of Sport, Tracey Crouch MP, will be visiting Greatness Recreation Ground on 25 July at 10.30am to learn more about the cooperative relationship between Sevenoaks Football Club and Sevenoaks Town Council and the innovative methods used to fund the facilities including the new 3G pitch.
Mayor of Sevenoaks Cllr Roderick Hogarth said: “The Town of Sevenoaks is fortunate to be the home of a thriving sports scene with thousands able to enjoy the activities on offer every week. The Council’s Sports Strategy was developed to support the continued growth and development of the clubs and their facilities.
“The visit of the Sports Minister is a great opportunity to showcase how this constructive working relationship can produce great results, the new pitch at Sevenoaks Football Club being a perfect example.
“I am also pleased that the Mayor’s Charity, Sevenoaks Powerchair Football Club will have an opportunity to demonstrate their champion-winning skills.”
