Historic film shows Eynsford and Farningham during the second world war
FARNINGHAM & EYNSFORD LOCAL HISTORY SOCIETY. A second world war film of Eynsford 1939-1945 by Norah Penwarden, which includes some Farningham footage, is being shown on Friday 21 September 2018 at Eynsford Village Hall. Norah’s film shows local daily life in the war – erecting air-raid shelters; gas masks; the Home Guard; Riverside bomb; Sparepenny Lane Observation Post and much more. It ends with the Peace Celebrations. Doors open 7.30pm and the film starts at 8pm. Refreshments will be available. Members free/non-members £2.
ANTHONY ROPER FUN DAY. There will be activities for the whole family at the Anthony Roper Primary School on 20 August from 10am-2pm. There will be sports, games, arts, crafts and music. Picnics are welcome and light refreshments will be on sale.
FARNINGHAM FRIDAY CAFÉ. Everyone is invited to come and share a coffee or tea with old friends or new at the Shand Hall, just behind Farningham Church, every Friday morning between10am – noon. For more info contact farninghamcfc@outlook.com.

FRIENDS OF FARNINGHAM is a group of volunteers who meet at 10am at the Village Hall for just an hour twice every month alternately Saturdays or Wednesdays to help tidy the village.
