Get a helping hand into work – free advice on offer

JOB hunters are being offered a helping hand by Sevenoaks District Council which is hosting an open day offering advice and information on how to get into employment.

The free event takes place on Friday 29 June from 10am until noon at the Council offices on Argyle Road, Sevenoaks and is open to all.
The day will give advice on how to improve confidence, as well as interviewing tips and how to get shortlisted for a job.
Sevenoaks District Council Portfolio Holder for Economic Development, Cllr Roddy Hogarth, says: “This event is perfect for those who are finding it difficult to find a job or may have been out of work for a while, helping to give useful tips on what employers are looking for as well as how to present yourself in an interview.
“We know it can be difficult to find a job, but this open day can be the first step towards employment and a brighter future.”
