Wealden Properties helps new tenants establish their businesses in the Sevenoaks area

IT has been a busy but productive last few months at Wealden Properties, the local property firm that owns and rents properties in Bat & Ball, St Johns, and the surrounding area. Director Paul Baker is delighted that the company has helped a number of businesses establish themselves in the Sevenoaks area.

One such business is The Grumpy Pony in Hollybush Lane which opened just after Easter. It provides a unique social gaming experience for both the young and old. Proprietor Ben Swindlehurst has fitted out the shop to a high standard providing space for hobbyists to enjoy their gaming. Plus, customers can enjoy a selection of drinks and snacks too. The gaming space is for table-top games such as Warhammer, Bolt Action, Magic the Gathering and more.

Wealden Properties were delighted to recruit Ben as a tenant and his hobby store is a welcome addition to the retailers in Hollybush Lane. and well worth a visit.

Across the road from The Grumpy Pony, Sevenoaks resident Ray Edun is putting the finishing touches to his new premises. Ray runs Fine Tuned Tech, an established support and repair company which specialises in phones, tablets, laptop repairs – including screen replacement – plus Apple and Windows computer upgrades.

In addition, Fine Tuned Tech offers quality refurbished phones, laptops, tablets, desktop computers. In-home support is also available for Wi-Fi, broadband, parental controls, smart home and other in-house technology needs.

Just around the corner on St John’s Hill is Karimi Rugs. The company is already well established in Tunbridge Wells and has many loyal clients in Kent.

Proprietor Ali Karimi believes Sevenoaks is a great place to open another Karimi Rugs outlet where customers can benefit from expert advice on purchasing genuine, quality handmade oriental rugs. Karimi Rugs also provides rug cleaning and restoration expertise.

Ali said: “We pride ourselves on our knowledge and welcome even those just curious to learn more to visit us for a chat where we can educate people on the beautiful works of art.”

Further down St Johns Hill is Josephs Kitchen, a new fresh and exciting restaurant located on the corner of St James Road.

Fully refurbished and modernised it offers a varied menu including vegan options and it is already receiving excellent comments on social media platforms, particularly for excellent service and friendly staff.

The restaurant also has an area with outside seating, which has been getting plenty of use during the recent good weather.

Almost opposite Joseph’s Kitchen is The Hub which recently opened its doors to offer a range of counselling and associated services including psychotherapy, reiki, reflexology, meditation and holistic beauty therapy, to name just a few. All the services are provided by qualified practitioners.

Proprietor Debbie Owen has used properties owned by Wealden for a number of years but a few months ago the opportunity came for her to branch out and have her own premises. Working on the refurbishment together, a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere has been created for clients to get the best from their treatments and sessions.

Debbie said: “The support received from Wealden Properties has made a significant difference and has been fundamental to the success of The Hub.”

In Riverhead, DeVita Beauty & Aesthetics has opened for business following an extensive refurbishment of premises at 30 London Road. DeVita has treatments for all beauty needs and customers leave feeling renewed and revived.

Paul Baker at Wealden says he has enjoyed helping each tenant establish their business and is looking forward to working with the as their ventures grow.

Wealden Properties also took the opportunity to help the Sevenoaks Chamber of Commerce with its recent work experience week for local students by giving a talk on property investment and management.

The company gave a presentation which covered many related topics and finished with a quiz where students had to use the knowledge gained that afternoon to guess the prices some local commercial properties recently sold for at auction.
