Town council closes House in the Basement Youth Cafe and puts emergency measures in place for the operation of the cemetery

Many schools in the Sevenoaks area have already closed due to the coronavirus threat and Sevenoaks Town Council believes it also sensible to close the House in the Basement Youth Café from tomorrow (Saturday 21 March 2020).

The Town Council says staff will continue to maintain public open spaces so they remain safe for public use and will be putting in place emergency measures for the ongoing operation of the cemetery.

Support is also being provided for voluntary organisations where possible.

Events however, which were in the process of being arranged, have been cancelled until further notice.
