Sevenoaks area refuse collections over the May Bank Holiday – remember it’s on Friday this year

Sevenoaks residents with refuse, recycling and garden waste collections over the early May bank holiday are being asked to put their sacks and bins out a day later than usual.

Collections scheduled for Friday 8 May (VE Day) will now take place the next day, Saturday 9 May. Residents are requested to put their black and clear sacks out by 7am and their garden waste out by 6.30am on their collection day.

Cabinet member for ‘Cleaner and Greener’, Cllr Margot McArthur said: “We are incredibly proud of our refuse team. They have worked exceptionally hard throughout the recent crisis making sure our residents continue to receive their weekly collections. They’ll continue to provide this service over the May bank holiday so that no one misses a collection.”
