Savills sponsorship keeps Sevenoaks RFC fit for success
As the Sevenoaks RFC Senior Squad enter the home straight for the season, the teams’ fitness has been attributed in the main to the excellence of their medical team – a resource made possible by sponsorship provided by estate agent Savills
IN A season that 1st XV captain Stuart Coleman has described as ‘the most physical’ he has ever experienced in his senior career, the position of a strong medical offering has never been more important. The growth in the medical team has been in large thanks to Sevenoaks RFC main club sponsor, Savills.
“Our relationship with Savills goes back a number of years and as the Senior Squad has grown in numbers and league status, the financial support we have received has been invaluable,” said Director of Rugby, Roger McKerlie.
“On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Adam Bowman and his coaching staff are now overseeing training for up to 50 players a session. We have a responsibility as a club and a committee to ensure that the best medical care is available to all those who participate in our great game, and thanks to Savills and the money that they have invested, we are able to provide physiotherapy on both training nights and across 1st and 2nd XV matches.”
David Johnston, Associate Director at Savills in Sevenoaks, said: “Savills is extremely proud to be associated with and invest in a community club like Sevenoaks RFC. It’s so important to provide these amateur rugby players with the correct environment and support to ensure that they can go into work in full fitness on a Monday morning after playing a competitive game on a Saturday afternoon.
“We certainly feel as though we have played our part in the Sevenoaks RFC success this year and we can’t wait to see how the boys fair at the end of the season – everyone at Savills is certainly behind Adam and his team!’”
McKerlie added: “The money that we have received has also enabled us to beef up our medical provision on Sunday mornings for our Minis and Juniors, an area which we know is critically important to each and every parent. As a club and committee, we would like to express a public thank you to David and everyone at Savills – it is the support of sponsors like Savills that amateur clubs like ours thrive on.”
