ONE of the joys of the annual Sevenoaks Summer Festival is that audiences are given the opportunity to enjoy some of the best acts and performers around who they may not have been aware of before.
Cara Dillon, an extraordinary Irish singer, has won a string of awards and has been described by Mojo magazine as having ‘quite possibly the world’s most beautiful female voice’.
Her Wanderer Album Tour also saw her nominated as ‘Folk Singer of the Year at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards 2018.
Cara has been captivating audiences and achieving exceptional acclaim for more than 20 years and she will be performing material from her new album and a selection of favourites from her previous releases in the Oaks Theatre of Knole Academy in Sevenoaks on Saturday 30 June, starting at 7.30pm.
And musically, the audience will get two for the price of one because accompanying Cara on Knole Academy’s grand piano and on guitar will be Cara’s husband Sam Lakeman who is an accomplished musician and recording artists in his own right.
