Celebrating 5 Years of Outstanding Care at Sevenoaks Medical Centre
A major milestone for local healthcare was marked on Friday 13 June, as Sevenoak Medical Centre proudly celebrated its fifth anniversary. Part of the KIMS Hospital Group, the Centre welcomed patients, staff and local community members – including the Mayor of Sevenoaks – for a day of gratitude, reflection and excitement for the future.
A Community Celebration with a Special Guest
The event was officially opened by Councillor Tony Clayton, Mayor of Sevenoaks, who joined guests for a guided tour of the Centre’s newly expanded diagnostic and interventional facilities. From a ceremonial cake cutting to a plaque unveiling, the day was filled with joyful moments – and even goody bags for visitors and patients!
Five Years of Impact: What We’ve Achieved Together
Since opening in 2020, Sevenoaks Medical Centre has made a real difference in the lives of local residents. In just five years, the Centre has:
- Welcomed nearly 26,000 patients
- Doubled its workforce, creating local employment
- Invested over £2 million into advanced diagnostics and infrastructure
- Expanded key services including Cardiac MRI, cataract surgery pathways, NT scanning, gynaecology, urology, and ultrasound
- Raised £31,833 for local charities such as Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex and Holding On Letting Go
These achievements reflect not just growth, but a deep commitment to putting people first.
Words of Gratitude from Leadership
Executive Chairperson Prema Subaskaran shared her heartfelt appreciation:
“Five years ago, we opened our doors with a vision: to bring high-quality, patient-centred care to the heart of this community. Since then, Sevenoaks Medical Centre has grown into a trusted healthcare hub, known for our friendly service, dedicated staff, and commitment to putting people first.”
Hospital Director Karen Planterose echoed the sentiment:
“It’s been a joy to celebrate this milestone with our fantastic team and community. The growth of Sevenoaks Medical Centre reflects the commitment and passion of our colleagues and the ongoing trust patients place in our care.”

For many, the celebration was personal. Local resident Mr Amay Mangal shared this glowing message of thanks:
“Fantastic service in the heart of the local Kent community here at Sevenoaks Medical Centre. Thank you for getting my dad back on his feet again. Great service from Mr. Ritchie and Mike Bran (Physio). May you go from strength to strength and we wish you another great many years of service to come!”
