Café on The Vine gets a five-star rating

THE popular Café on the Vine has achieved a 5 out of 5 rating from the Environmental Health Department.

The 5 star rating is the highest available and classifies the premises in the ‘Very Good’ category.

Sevenoaks Mayor, Cllr Maxine Chakowa said “This is welcome news and reflects the ongoing commitment of the town council and café team to provide excellent facilities for the local community.”

The historic building on The Vine between the gardens and the cricket pitch was formerly a practice room for the Sevenoaks town band and was converted into a cafe a couple of years ago.

Recently the café received a lower environmental health rating due to a technical issue with its boiler and although the boiler was replaced immediately the café had to follow the process to re-register to be scored again.
