As landlords prepare to move on, Weald village discusses future of The Windmill Pub

There has been a whirlwind of rumour about the Windmill Pub in Weald over the past few weeks and it is difficult separating fact from fiction.

To help bring some clarity to the situation, the Parish Council invited residents to a meeting on Wednesday 20 November in the Memorial Hall.

Although not strictly Parish Council business, the future of the pub is of paramount importance to the village which is why the topic about its future was added to the agenda of the November Parish Council meeting.

Richard and Kaye, who have been managing The Windmill, are moving on but the pub will be open for the foreseeable future.

Look out for further news about the future of the pub in this column.

* The Windmill is offering a Saturday Night Special. From 6pm you can order any three courses off the menu for £20. If you would like to book a place call: 01732 463330
