The next Sevenoaks business woman we are celebrating is Alison Hadlow who launched her own sportswear range in 2020. Inspired by years of teaching Taekwon-do, where she fuels people’s strengths through her motivational quotes such as ‘sweat fuels life’ and ‘suck it up!’, Innae is a brand that reflects this fighting spirit. Using sustainable materials, the range is proudly ‘eco-sassy’ with ambitions to create pieces that detail exactly where the plastic came from. From hoodies and leggings, to t-shirts and baseball caps, each product is designed with functionality, quality and sustainability in mind.

As a 6th degree Taekwon-Do black belt, Alison chose the name Innae as it means perseverance in Korean, and is one of the key principles of the sport, plus it embodies exactly what Alison believes in. When launching the brand, she took on board the same advice she gives her competitors before they enter the ring, which is to ‘feel the fear and do it anyway’. Speaking with Alison, she explained to us the mission at the heart of Innae, which ‘is to support everyone’s journey to fitness and to celebrate the individual. We don’t believe in a type. Everyone has their unique Innae spirit, so we make clothes that you will feel strong in whatever the sport’.
