Where is the bowls club banner? There’s a reward for whoever can solve the mystery

THE amount of passing traffic on the roundabout close to Tesco in Riverhead makes it an attractive position to catch people’s attention and there is often a banner or two on the pavement railings promoting local events.

And so it seemed like an ideal place for Sevenoaks Indoor Bowls Club to place their large red and white eye-catching banner informing passing motorists and pedestrians about their open day.

But when club members went to take the banner down after the event, it had vanished. A club spokesperson said: “Who would take it and for what purpose, other than mischief.”

The club would like their banner back or would like to know where it might be found. As an incentive they are offering a reward of a free session of bowling at the club in Hollybush Close, Sevenoaks, to whoever returns the banner – no questions asked!
