Twelve arrested after burglaries in Sevenoaks and Ashford
Twelve people have been arrested by Kent Police officers investigating burglaries at two businesses in the county including a electronics store in Otford Road, Sevenoaks.
The arrests were made following break-ins at the Sevenoaks store and Norman Road, Ashford, during the early hours of 10 and 12 December 2019 respectively. High value equipment, including laptop computers, are reported to have been taken.
Two men, both aged 18, were detained in The Parade, Ashford, at around 5.50am on 12 December following a search that took place after the second burglary was reported. A further two men, aged 22 and 26, were arrested in London Road, Maidstone, at around 7am on 12 December. They were detained following a report a vehicle suspected to have been involved in the offences was travelling in the area.
Following further enquiries, officers arrested an additional eight men, aged between 20 and 56, after attending an address in Dagenham, Essex on the afternoon of 12 December.
All of the arrested individuals were arrested on suspicion of burglary and remain in custody as enquiries continue.
