PANTO SUCCESS: The various matinee and evening performances of the Riverside pantomime, Robin Hood and Babes in the Wood entertained packed halls of all ages. It told the story of the machinations of Malevola, evil sister of the Sheriff Nottingham, attempting to ‘lose’ the babes in the wood to take over their inheritance while Robin Hood and the forces of good did their best to thwart her. All was made gloriously funny by jokes and puns well wrapped up in exotic costumes, song, dance and music delivered by a very engaging and highly skilled cast.
