Sun shines on Dunton Green Summer at the Pavilion family day

THE hottest day of the year so far helped attract a crowd of more than 300 residents and friends to the ‘Summer at the Pavilion’ event in Dunton Green last Saturday (29 June 2019).

Some like it hot… but their ice creams cold!

The free family event, organised by Sevenoaks District Council with support from Dunton Green Parish Council, provided plenty of entertainment including a bouncy castle, a circus skills workshop, climbing wall, health advice, food and drink stands and live music performed by the Hounds of Sound.

Cllr Lesley Dyball, the Council Cabinet Member for People and Places, said: “Whenever you organise an event months in advance, you can never be sure  what the weather has in store, but we could not have wished for a better, sunnier day.

“It was a great turnout, which goes to show what a strong community spirit exists in the village.”
