Socially distanced outdoor cinema under the stars at Hever Castle during August

The beautiful Hever Castle and its grounds provide the backdrop for a socially distanced outdoor cinema under the stars on 7-9 and 14-16 August (evenings).

The experience takes place on the main lawn at the popular tourist attraction when cinema goers are invited to bring along a blanket or a chair to watch iconic films in the open air within the beautiful grounds.

Customers can also enjoy an alfresco summer meal from a BBQ and Pizza Van. Ice creams and a bar are also available or people can bring their own picnics.

The Hever Festival Theatre is putting on a mini festival from the 18 to 30 August but is unable to show the movies in its tent so, in these unusual times, the outdoor cinema experience has evolved to offer something completely open air and unique in an iconic venue.

The summer cinema is £15 per ticket with a £10 parking charge per car. Visitors are able to arrive from 6.30pm with the films starting at 8pm.

The following films are being shown:

  • Friday 7 August – Anne of the Thousand Days
  • Saturday 8 August – Romeo and Juliet
  • Sunday 9 August – Hot Fuzz
  • Friday 14 August – Us
  • Saturday 15 August – The Goonies
  • Sunday 16 August – The Gentlemen

Tickets have to be booked in advance and you can find out how by using this link:
