Sevenoaks youngsters host Dutch tourists from Rugby Club Delft

SEVENOAKS Rugby Club hosted a group of more than 50 young boys and girls from the touring side Rugby Club Delft on Easter Sunday.

Unlike in England, the Dutch group teams by two calendar years and mix boys and girls in their squads.

The sun shone and the day provided a fantastic yet rare opportunity for Oaks to combine its Under 13 and Under 14 and its Under 15 and Under 16 year groups.

Rugby was the clear winner as players from both Clubs played in the touring spirit the day required and if Oaks ran in a few more tries than Delft no one was really counting.

The teams enjoyed a post match tea together in a reaffirmation of the close ties between Sevenoaks Rugby Club and Rugby Club Delft.
