Sevenoaks Medical Centre Marks First Year Under KIMS Hospital Ownership

A private Sevenoaks based medical centre is proudly celebrating its first anniversary since it opened its doors under new ownership at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Located on London Road, opposite Sevenoaks railway station, the hospital is proud to serve the local community.

KIMS Hospital’s CEO Simon James, along with Chief Nurse Jackie Groom, recently visited the centre to recognise the achievements of its first 12 months. Most recently, the centre has played a pivotal community role as a vaccination hub, enabling the local Primary Care Network’s vaccination service rollout. Commendable statistics reveal that over 13,000 people have been vaccinated at the centre so far.

A warm welcome

Simon James said, “No-one could have predicted the challenges of the past year, but we are delighted to have been able to play our part in protecting the health of the Sevenoaks community. We are extremely proud of how we have been able to respond and support the vaccine rollout”.

As Simon noted, “We are committed to offering exceptional, affordable private healthcare in a welcoming and comfortable environment. Our services enable our patients to undertake all their treatment within Kent, whether here in Sevenoaks or via our pathway to KIMS Hospital in Maidstone, rather than having to go into London for their healthcare.”

With more than 2,300 private consultant appointments and over 1,000 imaging scans, including CT, mammography, MRI, ultrasound and X-ray, Sevenoaks Medical Centre’s facilities ensure it can deliver the very best patient-centred healthcare to the local community.

In celebration of the anniversary, the team of 15 staff working at Sevenoaks Medical Centre were joined by Adam Bowman, Director of Rugby and Senior Team Head Coach from Sevenoaks Rugby Club, who are sponsored by Sevenoaks Medical Centre. A personal thank you was marked with some indulgent celebratory cupcakes.
