Sevenoaks District Chamber of Commerce unveil new Sevenoaks Business Hub
After a long anticipated 17 months, Sevenoaks District Chamber of Commerce recently opened its doors for the first face to face meeting. This gathering served as an ideal opportunity for the unveiling of the new Sevenoaks Business Hub, located in the grounds of the Sevenoaks Town Council Offices on Bradbourne Vale Road, and now the Chamber’s new residence.
With the pandemic having proved to many commuters that travelling everyday is not a necessity, the Town Council’s new Business Hub enables local entrepreneurs and business people to operate from the comfort of their home town, whilst promoting and encouraging business growth. From access to modern services including thirteen hot desks, individual private pods, a meeting room for up to 8 people, plus the most up to the minute internet connectivity; the hub’s space certainly does not disappoint in offering an environment that combines peace and quiet, with a chance to meet and network with other like minded business individuals. All furnished to a very high and contemporary standard, there is also the benefit of simple luxuries including free car and cycle parking, a kitchen and cafe to fuel productivity, an outdoor deck to inhale some fresh ideas, and convenient use of shower rooms.
Delighted to be supporting this new progressive initiative is Dawn Blee, the new CEO of the Chamber. Dawn foresees an exciting future for new start ups, entrepreneurs, work-from-homers and anyone needing to get work done in a business atmosphere:
“We see this as the ideal place for networking and reducing the isolation that some WFHs can experience and a way of reintroducing the informal but very valuable exchange of ideas that previously took place around the office water cooler or coffee machine”.
Likewise, The Mayor Cllr Dr Merilyn Canet has also expressed her enthusiasm for the Hub’s new valuable place within the community:
“The Council was considering creating a business hub before Covid because we knew that there are a good number of young businesses in the area, yet flexible, affordable accommodation has been in short supply. The Business Hub was part of the regeneration of the Northern Sevenoaks plan. Recent months have demonstrated that many people can work from home, yet for some it is difficult to combine home and business life and others miss the opportunity to socialise with people of a like mind. So, we are delighted to be providing a facility which will help both the local economy and work/life balance for business people”.
To view the impressive facilities or to make any enquiries, then get in touch on 01732 455188 or email info@sevenoakschamber.com. The Hub will be open 7.00am – 9.00pm six days a week and facilities can be booked from as little as a half day to a monthly basis.
