Sevenoaks & District Chamber of Commerce cancel meetings until further notice

The Sevenoaks District Chamber of Commerce is the latest local organisation to follow government advice surrounding the coronavirus outbreak. In a statement to its members, the chamber said:

Dear Members

I’m sure it will come as no surprise, that considering the latest government advice, we have decided it is necessary to cancel our networking events and meetings until further notice. We will continue to assess this in line with guidelines and advice, but the safety and well-being of our members is, of course, a top priority.

We have also decided to cancel our increase in membership fees as we feel this is an unnecessary pressure on our members at this time.

We will continue to operate as best we can and concentrate our efforts on our own contingency plans and finding effective ways to support members remotely and promote some online networking.
