A feast of food, fun and music at this year’s two-day Food Fest – and there is plenty for the kids to do too
THIS year’s Food Fest being held this Saturday and Sunday (2 & 3 June) in the beautiful surroundings of The Mount Vineyard in Shoreham is guaranteed to excite your taste buds with more than 35 gourmet vintage food trucks and stalls of all shapes and sizes to choose from.
And to compliment the food on offer there will also be plenty of drinks to try from cocktails to award winning craft beers and wine.
But that’s not all, Jay Scott and Clairey Hearnden, the organisers of the event, are also music lovers and have lined up a feast of top musicians and DJs to perform over the weekend.
The acts include Jay’s own band The Find as well as the best of British unsigned bands, plus ‘Fades’, who have just been given a publishing deal by Warner Music this week, and Sasha Brown who will be performing her new debut album.
‘Not The Rolling Stones’ one of the best ‘Stones’ tribute acts, will be performing on the Sunday to close the festival.
The Food Fest will be helping to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London. During the weekend artist Hugh Whitaker is holding street art workshops for children. Plus everyone at their festival is being invited to spray a big bill board which is being designed by Hugh for the hospital.
The Food Fest is now in its third year and the combination of fantastic food, drink, music and art has led to it being nominated the UK’s newest and coolest up and coming boutique festival.
