Sevenoaks cyclists – don’t miss this chance to take part in the Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100
THE popularity of cycling has continued to grow during the last decade and so there is always a high demand from riders who want to participate in special events such as the Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100.
Places are limited to 25,000 amateur cyclists and the ballot entry system for this year has already reached its capacity. But guaranteed places are made available to various charities and West Kent Mind, which covers the Sevenoaks area, has two more places on offer.
The extremely popular Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100, a closed road event, is being staged this year on Sunday 29 July and the route is similar to the one used for the London 2012 Olympic Road Cycling Races.
It will start in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, travel through the capital on to Surrey’s stunning country and roads and hills before a spectacular finish on The Mall in central London.
West Kent Mind is inviting cyclists who would like to take on this personal challenge to apply for one of the two places they have left.
Participants will be asked to raise money for the local mental health charity which relies heavily on fundraising from sporting challenges to enable them to continue supporting people in the local community.
This fantastic sporting event enables West Kent mind to generate much needed sponsorship and raise awareness about the importance of looking after our mental health.
If you are interested in taking up one of the Ride London places or are interested in other sporting challenges please contact the Community Development Team on 01732 744950 or email caroline.hollobon@westkentmind.org.uk
