Approximately 30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests are called in to 999 every year, Over 80% of which happen at home.Of that number, little over8% survive.Pause for a second to let that shockingly gloomy statistic sink in.Did you know that if CPR is started within those first crucial few minutes, the survival rate can increase up to 70?Let’s not downplay it because that is, quite literally, the difference between life and death. How Cryotherapy can help to ease the symptoms of eczema Eczema is a general term used for rash-like conditions wherein the skin becomes inflamed, itchy, rough, cracks, and may also form blisters. It’s among the most common skin conditions and affects 31.6 million people in the US, the prevalence of which peaks in early childhood. Even though it is not contagious, the majority of individuals may have eczema for the rest of their lives; flare-ups only happen sporadically, and patients must deal with the symptoms for several weeks even after it is treated. On the evening of Thursday 23rd March My Sevenoaks Community and Sevenoaks Medical Centre will be holding a free drop-in session for people to learn CPR skills.  Knowing how to perform CPR is an important skill that saves lives, and is a skill that everyone should know. Currently less than 10% of people survive an out of hospital cardiac arrest. But CPR can help improve those odds. If it is performed in the first few minutes of cardiac arrest, CPR can double or triple a person's chance of survival. The training will be led by Jamie Morrison, Sevenoaks Medical Centre’s Clinical Skills and Lead Resuscitation

The Dream: Start-up, Sass & Sustainability “It started as a bit of fun, printing tongue-in-cheek quotes onto vest

Recently, My Sevenoaks Community met with long-term Sevenoaks resident Sarah Grant for a coffee and a chat. It didn’t take long before we were won over by the warmth of her character, and the enthusiasm she expressed for the wonderful work that she does. Sarah began her career as a hairdresser in the exclusive London area of Mayfair, and soon built an impressive client base which extended to royalty. Juggling life as a mother to three small children, Sarah decided to use her natural creative flare and interest in fashion and design, to make bespoke children’s clothing. This enabled her to combine parenting,
