The 1940s Society and the Otford and District Historical Society would like to hear about Otford memories and family connections to the second world war.

An original play written to form part of the celebrations of the visit of Henry VIII to Otford 500 years ago is complete and the organisation responsible for the event is now looking for actors, entertainers and technicians to bring it to life

As part of the nationwide celebrations to mark the 75th anniversary of the ending of the Second World War in Europe, on Friday Bank Holiday, 8 May 2020, Otford is planning a series of events to mark the role that the village and her people played during the conflict.
