Otford's response to Coronavirus is a network of ‘Road Fiends’ has been set up. The initiative is being supported by the Parish Council and long-time resident, Rod Shelton, is co-ordinating the process.

In response to Coronavirus getting into the village community in the coming weeks, Otford is setting up a network of ‘Road Fiends’.

Otford & District Historical Society meets at 8pm on Wednesday March 18 in the Memorial Halls, doors open from 7.30pm with refreshments. ‘Stone on Stone - the men who built the Cathedrals’ is the talk by Imogen Corrigan.

Hospices of Hope, the Otford-based charity, is holding a Quiz, sponsored by Knocker and Foskett Solicitors, from 7pm on Saturday 7 March at the Memorial Hall.

Leaders from Kemsing and Otford District will be marking World Thinkin Day on Saturday 22 February with a local walk, finishing at Otford village green where the WAGGGS (World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scout) flag will be flying.

The 1940s Society and the Otford and District Historical Society would like to hear about Otford memories and family connections to the second world war.

An original play written to form part of the celebrations of the visit of Henry VIII to Otford 500 years ago is complete and the organisation responsible for the event is now looking for actors, entertainers and technicians to bring it to life

St Bartholomew’s Church in Otford is hosting a Burns Night in the church centre on Saturday, 25 January.

Network Rail is again trying to close the footpath crossing close to Otford Station in order to build a 62-step footbridge.

RSPB SEVENOAKS GROUP meets at 7.45pm tonight (2 January), in the Memorial Hall with the Biking Birder Gary Prescott giving a talk which mentions a Tapir at the door.
