The next social gathering of the Otford Twinning Society is at The Woodman pub by the pond at 7.30pm on Monday, 16 September.

The best of the season’s flowers fruit and vegetables will be on display at the village Memorial Hall on Saturday. The show opens to the public at 2.15pm.

Group of volunteers offer residents a chance to get together at the Otford Lunch Club.

A Farewell Service for Richard Worssam, the Vicar of St Bartholomew’s Church, takes place at 10am on Sunday, 25 August.

Otford Gardeners’ Society has again organised the Annual Otford Front Garden competition on behalf of the Parish Council.

MEMBERS OF ST BATHOLEMEW’S CHURCH will be participating in The Friends of Kent Churches Bike and Hike being held between 10am and 6pm on Saturday 14 September.

There will be a quiz night starting at 7.30pm tonight (Thursday 25 July) at the St Bartholomew’s Church centre to raise funds for Pursue, a charity set up to support community transformation in Kenya.

This Saturday (20 July) Otford Allotment holders are putting on an open day from 10am when residents are being invited to sample some of their local produce, and St Bartholomew’s Church is holding a Spanish Pop-up Restaurant from 6.30pm

The Otford-based charoty is holding another of its popular Quiz Nights at its tearooms on the High Street on Saturday 6 July.

The show brings together beautiful flowers and tasty fruit and vegetables from the early summer garden. Also featured are flower arrangements, cookery and photographic classes.
