Eynsford & Farningham

Both Eynsford and Farningham will be putting on a pantomime starting this month (January).

Eagle Heights Wildlife Foundation in Eynsford had to survive a night of drama recently when a group of thieves, on what is believed to have been quad bikes, tried to break into the sanctuary by cutting through the perimeter fence around midnight.

Police detectives are appealing for more information following the fire at the Farningham Oak furniture store in the early hours of 6 November 2019.

Residents are being invited to nominate a person or group who has made a difference to Eynsford's community.

FARNINGHAM & EYNSFORD LOCAL HISTORY SOCIETY will be showing old films of the area during the 1950s, 60s, and 70s in Farningham Village Hall on Friday 6 December.

The churches in Eynsford and Farningham are both preparing for Christmas. St Peter and St Paul’s is holding a Christmas Market in Farningham Village Hall on Saturday 30 November from 11am – 3pm and St Martin’s is holding its Christmas Fayre on Saturday 7 December from 11am – 3pm in the Eynsford church.

STEAM train travel from a bygone era will be making an appearance in Eynsford on Saturday (26 October) when The Golden Arrow passes through the village,

Farningham & Eynsford Local History Society meets on Friday 8 November at 7.30pm for 8pm in Eynsford Village Hall

There are fears that Farningham could lose one of its village pubs if a planning application involving The Chequers Inn in The High Street is given the go-ahead.
