Two men arrested in Brasted village after police stop and search car

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of supplying psychoactive substances after quantities of nitrous oxide along with more than £10,000 in cash were seized from a car in the village of Brasted.

At around 11.20pm on Wednesday 2 October, officers on patrol in the Brasted area stopped a vehicle which had been seen driving erratically in the High Street.

On checking the vehicle they found a carrier bag containing cash as well as multiple boxes used to store a large number of nitrous oxide canisters.

The men, both aged 25, and from Romford, Essex and East Ham, London were arrested on suspicion of possessing psychoactive substances with intent to supply, as well as money laundering.

They remain in custody.
