NH Wealth Launches FREE ‘Financial Advice Clinics’ For Businesses In The South East
At the beginning of this year, we interviewed Nick Hawkins, who had recently launched NH Wealth, an Independent Financial Advice firm in Sevenoaks. Now, NH Wealth has hit that momentous one-year milestone – a significant occasion for every business owner. Let’s find out what Nick has been up to and what’s coming next for NH Wealth…
The battles of a new business owner
Like many business owners, Nick has juggled countless responsibilities – everything from admin and accounting to managing Google Reviews and Google Maps (local businesses will appreciate this is a feat in itself!). Marketing, operations and customer relations are all part of the daily grind. And then, of course, there’s the actual work of being a Financial Adviser.
Yet, despite the demands, Nick couldn’t be happier. Holding the reins of his own business has empowered Nick to feel in control of his own destiny. More than anything, it’s given him the freedom to cherish life’s priceless moments – like being there for his children’s school nativities and sports days.
“The first year has been about building a strong foundation. Looking ahead, my focus is on continuing to provide personal, high-quality financial advice while growing the business in a way that aligns with my values.”
Nick has wholeheartedly immersed himself in the Sevenoaks community too, making connections by attending networking events and even co-hosting his own event at Lime Tree Work Shop. While we may be a bit biased, we’re proud of how Sevenoaks’ vibrant and collaborative business network has become a defining feature of our town. This camaraderie between businesses not only enriches the local economy but also strengthens the bonds between the people who make up the heart of this community.
The ‘Uncommon Sense’ newsletter
A perfect example of Nick’s approach to financial guidance is his newsletter.
This monthly missive offers a blend of company updates, practical financial tips, industry insights and stock market news. The latest edition covered topics like ‘Navigating the New Budget’, giving readers valuable context for financial decisions.
One standout section, titled ‘Rational Optimism’, shares uplifting stories from around the world, guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. Nick’s sense of humour shines through and the touching glimpses into his home life reflect the importance he places on family values. As he often says, “We’ll never recommend something to you that we wouldn’t recommend to our family” – a commitment he holds as a guiding principle.

Mental health at work
The theme of last month’s annual World Mental Health Day was mental health at work. We would be remiss to not highlight the parallels between mental health and financial wellbeing and the impact poor mental health can have on an individual’s performance at work.
Employers know that promoting employee wellbeing and providing a positive, supportive environment is good for them and good for the employee:
- Improves performance and productivity
- Reduces employee turnover
- Good health equals fewer sick days
- Promotes a good company culture
- Helps to attract new talent
Ergo, everyone wins.
FREE – Financial Advice Clinics for the workplace
So, what can employers, business owners, business directors etc. do to support their workforce?
NH Wealth has recently launched a free ‘Financial Advice Clinic’ service for workplaces across the south east.
These sessions provide employees with easy access to professional, personalised advice on a range of financial concerns. By offering expert support directly within the workplace, these clinics make financial planning more accessible, helping employees to navigate financial decisions with confidence.
For employers, these clinics aim to create a supportive atmosphere that values financial wellbeing as an essential aspect of personal and professional growth.
Here’s how it works:
Quarterly on-site clinics
An NH Wealth expert financial adviser will visit your office for one day each quarter, offering employees one-to-one sessions in a private, confidential setting. All that is required is access to a meeting room. These visits are provided at no cost to the company.
Free 30-minute consultations
One-to-one sessions offer more value to employees than general group sessions, as they focus directly on each employee’s specific financial concerns. Every employee using this service will have a dedicated 30-minute consultation addressing their unique financial needs and goals.
Ongoing support
There are extended services available for employees seeking ongoing support and who want to proceed with more comprehensive financial planning following their consultation. Employees can pay for these subsequent meetings.
Popular areas where people may seek financial advice

Supporting your employees, boosting your business
As more businesses focus on workplace wellbeing and employee benefits, offering financial advice at work is a smart move. It demonstrates a forward-thinking approach from companies who provide such a unique benefit, showing they care about their staff’s overall happiness and health. After all, happy, healthy employees are key to success. This initiative also helps create a culture of financial confidence and empowerment, giving employees the tools to take control of their financial future.
Nick helped me manage my investments and pensions. He is professional, knowledgeable and great value for money. I would highly recommend him. I had complex situation and really not comfortable myself making decisions about investments. Based on my risk criteria, Nick helped me to make sensible changes to my investment portfolio.
Nick was kind and made the difficult decisions (which I’d avoided for a long time) easy and straightforward.
I highly recommend Nick.
