Is your organisation on the list to receive a cash boost from Sevenoaks District Council?

Sevenoaks District Council is supporting local charity and voluntary groups by allocating £153,340 to help them continue their valuable work. The grants will support organisations which provide services to Sevenoaks District residents, particularly those in greatest need.

The Sevenoaks-based Lewis Project is one the local organisations to benefit from a District Council grant

Funding totalling £54,800 will be made to 22 local groups who support volunteers, run community transport, help older people and people experiencing mental health problems, assist families and provide support for sport and arts across the District.

This year, several new charities and groups have been granted funding including PSB Breastfeeding, Fegans and The Hygiene Bank who will use their grant to fund volunteer toolkits.

A further £98,540 will be given to Citizens’ Advice across the District at Edenbridge and Westerham and North and West Kent (Sevenoaks and Swanley).

The Council’s Cabinet Member for People and Places, Cllr Dyball said: “The community grants scheme is a fantastic way to show our support to the incredibly valued voluntary sector across the Sevenoaks district.
